2020 Nominations for CNS Executive Board

Fields

1.    Nominees must be Active Members of the Child Neurology Society

2.    Nominees for President-Elect must be willing to:

  • Serve four years on the CNS Board, beginning in October 2020 at the final board meeting held in conjunction with the Joint CNS-ICNA meeting in San Diego, CA (also the 49th CNS Annual Meeting; Oct 19-23) and ending in October 2024 a the 53rd CNS Annual Meeting (date and site TBD)
  • Service on CNS board is structued as follows: one year President-Elect, two years President, one-year Past-President
  • Attend 2-3 board meetings at CNS Annual Meeting and 1-2 board meetings in winter/spring (including  an all-day meeting in March/April in conjunciton with AAN Annual Meeting); others on-line as needed.
  • Confer with and serve as board liaison for one or more CNS committees
  • President-elect will directly preside over the 2022 (Cincinnati) and 2023 (Vancouver) CNS Annual Meetings.

3.    Nominees for Secretary-treasurer must be willing to:

  • Serve six years on the CNS Board, beginning in October at the final board meeting held in conjunction with the Joint CNS-ICNA meeting in San Diego, CA (also the 49th CNS Annual Meeting; Oct 19-23) and ending in October 2026 a the 55th CNS Annual Meeting (date and site TBD)
  • Attend 2-3 board meetings at CNS Annual Meeting and 1-2 board meetings in winter/spring (including  an all-day meeting in March/April in conjunciton with AAN Annual Meeting); others on-line as needed.
  • Confer with and serve as board liaison for one or more CNS committees, including but not limited to Finance Committee
  • Confer on quarterly basis with Finance Committee chair and investment portfiolio manager(s)
  • Prepare and present financial report for board meetings and CNS Annual Business Meeting (with the assistance of contracted accountant)
  • Co-sign with CNS Executive Director contracts, audit reports as needed on behalf of the Child Neurology Society

4.    Nominees for Councillor for the West and Councillor for the South must be willing to:

  • Serve a two-year term beginning beginning in October 2020 at the final board meeting held in conjuction with the Joint CNS-ICNA meeting in San Diego, CA (also the 49th CNS Annual Meeting; Oct 19-23) and ending in October 2022 at the 51st CNS Annual Meeting in Cincinnati.
  • Attend 2-3 board meetings at CNS Annual Meeting and 1-2 board meetings in winter/spring (including  an all-day meeting in March/April in conjunciton with AAN Annual Meeting); others on-line as needed.
  • Confer with and serve as board liaison for one or more CNS committees,

5.    Nominees for Councillor for the West must practice in one of the following states or provinces:
Alaska, Alberta, Arizona, British Columbia, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, new Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Saskatchewan, Utah, Washington, Wyoming

6.    Nominees for Councillor for the South must practice in one of the following states or provinces:
Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia
